Tea culture has a history of more than 4,700 years in China. Throughout the development of the entire Chinese nation, from the princes and nobles to the people, tea is closely related to the lives of thousands of households. In western countries on the other side of the ocean, black tea is also deeply loved by people, but compared with black tea, coffee is obviously much more popular. With the acceleration of globalization, in the 1980s, Yunnan Province in China gradually became a coffee planting base in China due to its advantages such as fertile soil, sufficient sunshine, abundant rainfall, and large temperature difference between day and night. By 2016, Yunnan coffee production accounted for to more than 99% of the country. Coffee has also become a new star drink in the homes of us.
As a herbal extract manufacturer, we have been paying attention to the nutrients of the plant itself. Tea and coffee, as two well-received products, are naturally sought after by the market. The difference between the two products is:
Green Tea Extract, the main active ingredient is tea polyphenols, accounting for 20%-30% of the dry weight of tea, and its main functions are anti-oxidation, anti-radiation, anti-aging, lowering blood lipids, lowering blood sugar, and inhibiting bacteria and enzymes.
Green Coffee Bean Extract, the main active ingredient is chlorogenic acid, has the functions of lowering blood pressure, invigorating kidney, anti-oxidation, and improving body metabolism.
As a refreshing drink, both tea and coffee contain caffeine, with a dry weight of 3.5% caffeine in tea leaves and 1.1%-2.2% in coffee beans. At first glance, it seems that tea is much more refreshing, so why do we feel that coffee has better effect than tea? This is mainly due to:
1. The difference between the brewing method and the amount of water, the same amount of water, we need more coffee beans than that of tea leaves. 150ml of water generally needs 8g of coffee beans, and tea leaves are much less;
2. Coffee can only be brewed once, but we can brew tea repeatedly;
3. The refreshing effect of strong tea is usually better.
The effect of caffeine is usually 20-60 minutes after ingestion. If you feel sleepy and then drink it, the effect will not be obvious. Be sure to drink it when you are expected to be sleepy but still awake to give your body time to absorb.
